Pumpkin Carving fun!

HI GUYS,
I hope you all have had an amazing week!

So if you've been reading this blog you will have realised that I am a tad mad and in love with HALLOWEEN!! Because I love halloween so much I thought I show off some pumpkin carving skills (not that they are very skilful). Also I had a little bit of help from my boyfriend with this.
I decided to do a simple pumpkin face but with a slight twist so here goes...

EQUIPMENT:
- Sainsburys pumpkin carving kit
- A Pumpkin
- Bowl (to put the pumpkins insides in)
- 3 Candles
- Permanent marker pen

Okay so when you get your pumpkin you will want to use the permanent marker pen and sketch out the outline of what you want your pumpkin to look like.

Once you've done the outline you can cut a circle out of the top of the pumpkin so you are able to put the candles in at the end. I used the little knife that came in the pumpkin carving kit to do this then just popped it out when its done.

I then scooped out all the GROSS bits insides of the pumpkin using the pumpkin scooper in the kit. I then used the bowl to put all the seeds and mush into. You can either save this and use it to cook some pumpkin flavoured (i.e. soup) or just put it in the compost bin.

Next I started by cutting the two eyes out of the pumpkin using the 2 small knives. Then after I had cut around the black outline I POPPED out the eyes.

Then after this I cut around the nose of the pumpkin which was so tiny and so cute!

After this I went in for the complex mouth...This was what probably took the LONGEST as I wanted to make sure it didn't break and it was also the largest piece/outline of the pumpkin.

Okay so after I had cut out the mouth this is where it starts to get AWESOME! I put 3 candles in the pumpkin and lit them before putting the lid back on. Then of course in order to see the full effects I had to be annoying and turn off all the lights...whoops!
So below is a picture of how my Jack'O'Lantern turned out! If you guys have a name for him please let me know by commenting down below!
Stay Happy
